Tank Defends Meek Mill Against A Meme Posted By Eva Marcille
In the wake of what many are calling an unjust jail sentencing, Meek Mill has received an outpouring of support from the rap community, fans and others alike.
In light of the harrowing reality of his legal woes, however, that hasn't put a halt to criticism regarding the rapper's troubling ordeal ― namely from Eva Marcille.
Early Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 7), the model-turned-actress took to Instagram to share her perspective on the Wins & Losses rapper's shocking sentencing. Drawing inspiration from Kevin Hart's critically-acclaimed I'm a Grown Little Man documentary, Eva posted a meme featuring the comedian with a timely message sprawled across the photo. "When they posting FREE MEEK MILL but won't go out and vote for the new district attorney," the post read.
Eva followed up by adding a caption which read, "Today is Election Day for local elections and judges are on the ballot.... do your part!!" Her message, however, didn't sit too well with the likes of Tank.
If you ask the R&B crooner, criticizing the Philly native isn't quite the proper route. "Meek has garnered a love and admiration from his people which is why they cry out for him," Tank began his response. "Politicians have to do the same."
"The education of voting has not been taught as well as the education of rap and lifestyle," he added.
While many fans praised Tank for his cordial approach, others seemingly sided with Eva, noting that Meek's actions in failing to adhere to his probation are solely to blame for the judge's harsh sentencing.
