Megan Thee Stallion Is Putting Her Philanthropy to Work for Older Adults in Houston and Dallas

The rapper’s Pete & Thomas Foundation and Habitat for Humanity are launching a home-repair initiative meant to protect seniors, preserve dignity, and support safer living.

Megan Thee Stallion is using her platform to make sure older adults can stay safe in the homes they have built their lives in.

Megan’s Pete & Thomas Foundation and Habitat for Humanity have announced a new partnership to repair the homes of older residents across Houston and Dallas, with more than 30 homes set to receive essential updates through Habitat’s Aging in Place program.

The effort will include repairs like roofing, weatherproofing, structural stabilization, ramp installations, and other mobility modifications meant to help seniors live safely and independently in their own homes. The work kicks off May 2 in Houston’s South Park neighborhood and will coincide with Megan Thee Stallion Day in the city, a recognition established in 2022 to honor her philanthropic work.

The day will also include volunteers from Hotties Helping, an initiative of the Pete & Thomas Foundation, who will join Habitat volunteers for hands-on work like caulking, painting, and landscaping. It is the kind of community-facing effort that shows Megan’s giving knows no bounds.

In a statement, Megan said caring for older adults has always been a priority for her. “I’m proud that the Pete & Thomas Foundation teamed up with Habitat for Humanity on this initiative because it goes beyond just fixing homes,” she said. “It’s about showing love and providing peace of mind to the generations that came before us.”

Older Americans Month kicks off in May, bringing added attention to the need for safe, accessible housing for aging residents. Habitat says the effort is part of a broader push to support housing and health equity for older adults who want to remain in their homes long term but may not have the resources to make needed repairs.

Megan founded the Pete & Thomas Foundation in 2022 in honor of her late parents, Holly Thomas and Joseph Pete III. Since then, the organization has focused on education, housing, health and wellness, and community goodwill. Through this new partnership, Megan is extending that mission in a way that is both practical and personal, helping make sure older Texans can age with dignity, safety, and a little more peace of mind.
