So, Diddy Finally Explains Why He Crops People Out Of His Photos

Diddy’s is known as one of the G.O.A.T.s in the industry for having a lot of different talents, but probably his greatest attribute (or at least funniest), is his photo-cropping skills.

The music mogul is notorious for cropping some of his famous acquaintances and even friends out of photos. In the past, he’s completely erased the Kardashians-Jenners, French Montana, and Fabolous from photos. Sometimes it seems like he cuts them out because they don’t fit the aesthetic; other times, it just seems pretty shady. But that’s just speculation. Diddy dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Feb. 8, where he finally explained why he has a habit of cutting people out of his photos. And his explanation isn’t as blunt as you would expect.

According to Diddy, it’s not his fault. In fact, the Bad Boy businessman blamed the entire thing on his photo editor. “Sometimes my photography editor, he doesn’t let me know when he’s taking people out of the pictures,” he explained. He also explained the difference between what is now being coined as the “DiddyCrop” and the “DiddyShop.” DiddyCropping is simply what he did when he cut Kendall and Kylie Jenner off of a pic he took with the Migos, Jaden Smith and more at the Met Gala.

An example of DiddyShopping, would be the latest photo-edit, where French Montana was wiped out of the pic with Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, and Nas. In this case however, Diddy suggested that the edit was unfair. “There were people that were taken away that didn’t deserve to be taken away,” he said, most likely referencing his friend, French.

Diddy may not have full control over his photo edits, but it’s hard to think that he doesn’t have a clue about what’s going on. So, this probably won’t be the last time we see another DiddyCrop or DiddyShop. Watch his full interview with Ellen below.
