Russell Simmons is saying that the sexual assault allegations against him couldn’t have happened because, um, it’s not in his personality to do something like that.

TMZ caught up with Simmons on Saturday (March 17) and asked if he thinks he’ll beat all the cases mounding against him.

"I don't have a stitch of violence in me,” he replied. “I would never hurt anybody. I never had any violence in me. But you know, it's a difficult time for everybody."

What made things more shocking was what happened after the brief interview. At the end of the video, you can see the music mogul get into his a car with his date, who then kissed him multiple times for everyone to see.

Ummm… yeah.

So far 12 women have accused Russell Simmons of sexual misconduct, including Insecure actress Amanda Seales, fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone and screenwriter Jenny Lumet.
