Bun B Thinks Pusha T Should've Put Hands On Drake
Since the epic verbal sparring between Drake and Pusha T ensued, they're been several people who were simply collateral damage. A few noted figures would be Drake's best friend, Noah '40' Shebib, his son and Pusha's wife, Virginia 'Ginny' Williams.
On HBO's The Shop, Drizzy ranted about how the former Clipse member crossed the line when he wished death on 40, who's struggling with multiple sclerosis. However, Push revealed it was 40 was the source behind him finding out about Drake's secret son.
Bun B, famed legend of Southern rap duo UGK, sat with Complex to share his thoughts on the Drake-Pusha saga.
“There’s rules to rap battles, but there are no rules to rap beefs,” he said.
In Drake's "Duppy Freestyle," he says, "I told you keep playin' with my name/And I'ma let it ring on you like Virginia Williams." According to Pusha's interview with The Breakfast Club, all bets were off because of this bar— hence why he reigned fiery hell with "The Story of Adidon."
However, Bun thought he should've opted for a different approach.
"If someone talks about my beautiful wife, I'm not making a record. I'm looking for you," he stated.
"I'm probably gonna put hands on you in certain situations," the emcee continued. He also mentions that one has to "be ready for the ramifications if you're gonna jump out like that. Some people are gonna take the lowest shots they can take and you need to be ready for that." Hilariously, he even says that he prefers to catch people off guard at the grocery store, but "it's just apart of the culture" and referenced Ice T's historic feuds with Kool Mo Dee and LL Cool J before he traded in music stages for TV screens.
