Offset's Message For Cardi B Is Melting Fans' Hearts...
Despite declaring rap war on each other just yesterday, Cardi B and her husband, Migos trap star Offset, are quickly becoming one of hip-hop's greatest love stories.
The "Stir Fry" emcee is gearing up to finish off the Migos triumvirate with his solo album, dropping on December 14 and in a recent interview with The New York Times, Offset spoke on the album, but divulged about his private life as a father and husband.
"I’m going to start opening up more," he began to explain. He reflected on the nearly-fatal car accident, which at first, his wife initially presumed was a shooting. In spite of the countless cheating allegations, the couple wed secretly in September of 2017, but shocked the world when he "proposed" a month later. This past July, Bardi gave birth to their daughter, Kulture Kiari.
However, in light of his turbulent past, Cardi is the one thing he feels he got right...
Even his lawyer stated, "The difference that I’ve seen in him lately is that he’s in an adoring, loving relationship. He’s a tremendous Cardi fan and in like fashion, she’s a tremendous Kiari Cephus fan.”
Offset continued to gush over his wife and how honored he is to have her. "She brings excitement and pressure to me, but I like that. She’s No. 1, so every time I’m hitting the charts, I’ve got to be Top 10."
Even though quality time between the pair is scarce, "settling down was the best thing that’s happened to [him]"
"It helps me make the music, which helps my career. I have no distractions," but he did admit to a potential joint album with his wife in the future. "And me and her? We haven’t even dropped an album yet. That’s a whole other realm."
Aw! Well, it seems Mr. and Mrs. Cephus were made for each other. Check out the full interview.
