T-Pain Fans Show Love After The Rapper Cancels Tour Due To Low Ticket Sales

“All tickets will be fully refunded. I truly apologize.”

T-Pain is keeping things 100% real about the actual reason he had to call off his 1UP DLC tour. The rapper published a video to his Instagram on Sunday (Oct. 20), in which he revealed the circumstances that caused him to pull the plug on his upcoming tour. Instead of lying to his fans, the rapper opened up about what really went down behind the scenes.

  • “I was advised to lie about this and say that I needed some time, or I needed some alone time or me time or some shit like that," he admitted. “We fucked up. I’mma keep it real with yall. Most artists lie. Whenever concerts or tours get canceled, it’s for low ticket sales.”

  • In the three-minute video, T-Pain said that his team set the tour up in September and rushed the execution which led to “some corners [getting] cut” and production “went missing,” although he noted he “wasn’t [as] hands-on with the planning and things as [he] should have been.”

  • Knowing that, T-pain felt bad about wasting fans' time and money

“I just thought since the first 1UP tour went well and sold out in every city, this should be good as well,” he said. “Having said that, I’m gonna take it upon myself to cancel the tour. It would have just been a bad look for me and it wouldn't have been entertaining for y'all.” In the post’s caption, T-Pain expressed his heartfelt apologies once again and informed fans “all tickets will be fully refunded.”

While many fans are saddened by the news, many are putting the blame solely on his management team for how poorly they marketed the concert series. Some didn’t even know about the concert until it was canceled.

“First of all, if I would’ve HEARD about a T-Pain tour I would’ve bought a ticket,” one fan commented.
