Battery Charges Officially Dropped Against Dave East

“I told y’all I was innocent.”

Battery charges against Harlem-bred rap artist, Dave East, have been dropped after tabloids surfaced reporting that he assaulted a woman during an alleged threesome while in Nevada. The Survival rapper clarified the situation, stating that it escalated after he went to use the bathroom and came back to find one of the two women in question fiddling around with his jewelry.

  • According to Power 105.1, the charges were dropped after submitted documentation showed that the rapper suffered a concussion during the incident. His lawyer, Stacey Richman, made it clear that the fight was not started by Dave, but instead he “attempted to responsibly quell the situation.”

  • He took to his social media on Monday, October 28 to clear his name once more and note how he lost a movie role over the “fake news.”

“I told y’all I was innocent,” he said. “God Bless and shouts to my lawyer. U da illest.”

  • A statement from Richman details that while at Delano Las Vegas hotel, “The woman threw a soap dispenser and bottles of champagne at Dave. One of the bottles shattered on the wall, sending glass flying and cutting Dave. Another bottle hit Dave with force in the head.”

  • “I always treat women with nothing but respect,” Dave’s reps stated on his behalf. “As a father to a young girl, it’s important for me to set the right example for her and be the best parent I can be. I can thank my incredible mother for raising me to be a gentleman and a father. I’m glad the truth is finally coming out and we can move forward.”

Hopefully, this is the final resolution to a sticky situation.
