The city will reportedly be a five-minute drive from Senegal's newly opened international airport, according to Travel + Leisure.

  4. According to CNN, Akon first announced his plans to build a futuristic city in 2018 on 2,000 acres of land gifted to him by the Senegalese President Macky Sall, and it seems he’s making major headway only two years later down the line!
