Kodak Black Pleads Guilty To Gun Charge And Faces Two To Seven Years In Prison
Kodak Black is facing more time in prison after he reportedly pled guilty to a gun charge in court in Niagara County on Thursday (March 12).
The Florida rapper appeared before a judge where he admitted to second degree criminal possession of a weapon, as reported by local news outlet ABC 7 WKBW. The charge stems from Kodak’s arrest at the border between the U.S. and Canada back in 2019. He and three other men were taken into the authorities’ custody after border patrol discovered handguns and drugs inside of the vehicle he was traveling in.
According to ABC 7 WKBW, the 22-year-old is now facing between two to seven years in prison. However, this sentence will run concurrently alongside his federal weapons sentence from last year. The news outlet further reported that Kodak’s sentencing date has been set for March 24.
Kodak is currently serving time behind bars after he was arrested at the 2019’s Rolling Loud in Miami. He later pled guilty to falsifying forms to procure a firearm in August of 2019, and was sentenced to prison for three years and eight months. He was expected to be released from prison sometime in 2022 for that charge, however, that could change in light of his latest guilty plea if he’s handed down more time.
