Following news that NBA players Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell and Christian Wood all tested positive for COVID-19, four Brooklyn Nets players have also tested positive for the virus.
On Tuesday (March 17), the Brooklyn Nets confirmed the four players on the team, and many were shocked to learn that NBA favorite Kevin Durant was among them. Fortunately, KD hasn’t exhibited any symptoms and told The Athletic that he was feeling fine for now. Nonetheless, the superstar power forward encouraged people to be mindful of their health and self-quarantine amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Fans are now concerned that another superstar figure might’ve been inadvertently exposed to the virus by way of KD too. Following his diagnosis, pictures have since emerged of him hanging out with Drake in Los Angeles just days before he was confirmed to have tested positive for coronavirus. Drizzy was also previously spotted with Lebron James at his son Bronny James’ recent basketball game against Harvard-Westlake.
It’s not clear when KD contracted the virus, but it seems the OVO honcho is still being cautious during such precarious times. While Drake hasn’t publicly reacted to KD’s diagnosis, the OVO honcho hinted that he might be under self-quarantine and posted a few videos of himself cooped up at his Toronto home on his Instagram Stories. “My life for the next however long,” he captioned a video of his in-home basketball court. He shared a second video of himself celebrating his new Billboard record for the most Hot 100 entries.
Nonetheless, fans are concerned and urging Drake to get tested for coronavirus too, though it appears that could already be on his radar. Per a report in Urban Islandz, KD contacted Drake as soon as he got his test results. Sources inside OVO told Urban Islandz that Drake intends to get tested as well.
In the meantime, fans are reminding him to get on the testing ASAP.
