New York rap veteran Ja Rule is tossing his hat into the ring for Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s wildly popular Instagram Live Verzuz battles, and with none other than his longtime arch nemesis, 50 Cent.
During a recent Instagram Live session, Terror Squad MC Fat Joe spoke to Swizz and relayed Ja’s desires. “He loves hip-hop first and foremost, and he wants to do this for the culture” Joey established. “Jesus Christ. Yo bro, come on! You guys want the smoke forreal.”
Although Swizz had his reservations, given Fif and Ja’s storied past, he gave Ja the go ahead to send him his 20 chosen tracks. However, he added that him and Timb would “take it from there.”
While Joey had Swizz on-camera, Ja personally called in to express his interest in a hit-for-hit battle against his longtime nemesis. Joey put him on the speakerphone so he could proposition the producer himself. “I’ll behave,” Ja promised, cackling. It didn’t appear to convince Swizz too much though, after he responded that it sounded like a “devilish behave.”
Additionally, Joe noted that a matchup between Ja and 50 Cent could possibly break the internet. The Murder Inc. rapper backed up his sentiments and assured Swizz he has more than enough hits in his catalogue to hold his own against the G-Unit honcho. “We know the catalogue. We just want to make sure the intentions are where they need to be,” Swizz clarified. Notably, Timbaland chimed in the comment section seconding Swizz, and now, fans will have to wait and see.
The Twitterverse is going ballistic over the possibility of seeing the two hip-hop titans face off against each other, especially in light of their ancient feud. “This could either go left real quick or be the most historic s**t ever,” one user chimed in Twitter.
