Houston’s breakout rap star Megan Thee Stallion is positively over the moon after scoring her first ever No.1 single.
This week, Billboard unveiled the latest chart ranking and the 25-year-old’s Beyoncé-assisted “Savage” remix was sitting pretty in the top spot for the Hot 100 singles chart, replacing Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande’s surprise charity single, “Stuck Wit U.”
Megan rushed to social media to relay the good news to her social followers, tweeting out “Hotties and the Hive did dat.”
She also celebrated her latest achievement with her 11.4 million Instagram followers. "Hotties we are Number 1 on the Hot 100 for the first time ever,” she cheered. “We f*****g did it. Thank you God. This is our first but it damn sure won’t be our last.”
She ended her sentiments by expressing how much her fan’s support means, writing “Houston we got one.”
Previously, Megan Thee Stallion’s remixed rendition of “Savage” came in at No. 2 behind Doja Cat’s “Say So” remix with Nicki Minaj.
Megan, Beyoncé, Doja, Nicki made chart history after they became the first Black female artists to simultaneously hold the top two spots.
