Kelly Rowland has a desire to reconcile with her estranged father eventually, according to DailyFill.com. The 30-year-old singer has not seen her dad since her parents split over 20 years ago.

“I do have a desire to speak to him. But I have to be ready when I make that decision, and I don't want to hurry myself. I've been without him for more than 20 years,” said Rowland, who was raised by her mom since age seven.

In addition, Rowland is currently enjoying her career and the single life, but said that she is dating and one day plans to have a family of her own. However, if she has to give a man the boot then she won’t hesitate to do so.

"When I noticed myself starting to date a--hole guys, and unavailable guys, I changed that real quick,” she said.

Sounds like her mom did a good job.

In other news, Rowland is gearing up for her next role as one of the judges on the UK version of The X Factor.
