This week Whoopi Goldberg gets Gleeked and Dennis Haysbert finds his funny bone.
Shadow and Act reports that Haysbert (The Unit, 24 and commercials for Allstate), who recently signed with The Gersh Agency, will co-star in two new projects: a dark comedy titled The Details and a tropical island comedy titled Welcome to the Jungle.
With a cast that includes Tobey Macquire and Kerry Washington, The Details is about a family whose pest problem leads to a chain of domestic tension, infidelity and murder. The film is scheduled for release in September 2012.
In Welcome to the Jungle, Haysbert's role looks to be smaller. Featuring an ensemble cast which includes Adam Brody and Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jungle centers on a group of co-workers stranded on a desert island. The film is in post-production.
In Whoopi Goldberg news, the comedian/actress is set to appear in three episodes of Fox hit show Glee, playing an extremely pivotal role that will decide the fate of characters Rachel and Kurt.
Goldberg will play Carmen Tibideaux, a theatrical guru and professor at the New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts. She travels to Ohio to conduct Kurt and Rachel's auditions, and ultimately decides their fate.
Goldberg's first appearance will be during the May 1 episode.
