A week after being compared to the taste of nuts and honey, LaLa Anthony weighs in on the comment that set off her NBA star husband Carmelo Anthony on the basketball court. And, as with any celebrity response, she sounded off on Twitter.

After being silent all week, LaLa finally cranked out a tweet, saying:  “Not for nothing, but we ALL deserve a check or some free cereal 4all the publicity we’ve given Honey Nut Cheerios! LOL #cantbelieveeverything.”

The cereal battle began at an Eastern Conference Game at Madison Square Garden. During the showdown, Boston Celtic Kevin Garnett told Carmelo, “Your wife tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios.” Both players had to be separated immediately and were charged with technical fouls. But Carmelo continued his beef with Garnett, yelling outside the Celtics’ locker room after the game and confronting Garnett again as the Celtics boarded their team bus.  

Reportedly, it took Madison Square Garden security, five New York City police officers and New York Knicks coach Mike Woodson to get the matter under control. Once the matter was settled, Carmelo made his statement.

“I lost my cool. It just was out of character,” he admitted. “I allowed some negativity to come into my circle. It’s over with for me. Whatever happened… happened. The words that were being said between Garnett, and me it happened; can’t take that away.”
