The reality-TV star says that her fitness routine and diet have actually been her saving grace, telling People magazine, "I definitely think the physical and the mental go hand in hand. I feel so good in the gym that it [affects] the rest of my day. It's a healthy addiction. It's like buying your sanity!"
Kardashian memorably stayed by Odom’s hospital bedside, putting her strict regiment on hold. She explained, "Mentally, it took its toll on me. But for the first month, I wasn't even really thinking about that. It wasn't about me. But once I started getting my feet back under me a little bit, I was like, 'Oh my God, I need to get back to my routine.'"
She took six weeks off from the gym in total, and admitted that it took some time to get her stamina back. “I do these drills where I'm running and I realized how out of breath I was compared to how I normally was. But I worked so hard to get there, I couldn't lose it."
The 31-year-old frequently shares her workouts, which include weight training and sprints with weights, on her official app. She also revealed that she’s kept off her 40-pound weight loss by ditching the candy and junk food she once loved in favor of fresh fruit and pre-cut vegetables.
If you've seen photos of her out and about lately, then you'd surely know that her hard work is paying off!
