Gucci Mane must really like being in jail because he can't seem to stay free. One day after being released on bond for aggravated assault, he was arrested on unrelated charges and taken right back into custody Saturday (April 13).
According to TMZ, the 33-year-old — aka Radric Davis — was busted for violating his probation, stemming from a separate run-in with the law.
An Atlanta judge sentenced the rapper to house arrest last week after setting his bond to $75,000. Gucci faces a single assault charge for allegedly cracking a champagne bottle over a fan's head. The victim, James Lettley, alleges to have asked to take a photo with the Brick Squad affiliate only to be attacked. "I was speaking to the security guard and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle," Lettley said. "And as I looked at him in the shock of why, one of his friends hit me in the side of my face."
Lettley believes that the incident could have left him dead, but with no witnesses to back up the recount, Gucci's lawyer is skeptical of the story.
Meanwhile, there is no word on if (or when) Gucci will be released.
