Cops Smelled Weed on 2 Chainz Tour Bus

Arrest affidavit supports reports of drug possession.

"An overwhelming smell of marijuana," is what helped land 2 Chainz and 10 others behind bars in Oklahoma City last week, the Associated Press reports.

According to an arrest affidavit filed in Oklahoma County District Court Monday (Aug. 25), two officers pulled over the rapper's tour bus because of broken taillights but when driver, Sedric A. Brooks, opened the door, one cop "could actually see smoke inside the bus around the door."

Brooks "quickly shut the door" after he was ordered back on the bus and claimed that he wasn't allowed to let police inside. Another person, identified as Abdullah Mujahid, reportedly shook his head "no" when asked to unlock the bus and held up a copy of the U.S. Constitution.

A nine-hour standoff ensued until authorities were able to get a warrant to board the bus. 10 of the 11 were arrested solely for interfering with the police investigation process, while Brooks was busted on suspicion of drug use. All were freed on $2,000 bail.

After the arrest, 2 Chainz denied the weed rumor tweeting, "our bus gets pulled over 1 a week and they always say I smell weed, I need to search your bus."

Investigators say they found narcotics on board and could file additional charges.
