The soundtrack for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be led by the song "It's on Again" courtesy of Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell, reports Billboard.

"It's on Again" earns its name from the superhero flick's full title, and features vocals from Keys, next to Lamar's rhymes. Both are co-writers, alongside veteran film composer Hans Zimmer and production from Pharrell.

Keys called the work a "powerful collaboration," in a statement. "This is the next chapter in the Spider-Man legacy and we really feel ‘It’s on Again’ captures the experience, the story and most importantly the meaning behind the film, which is that we all have the potential to be extraordinary," said the 32-year-old. "There’s a little bit of a superhero in all of us.”

Zimmer's lengthy resume of scores includes Inception, Gladiator, Batman Returns, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. The award-winning composer described working with Lamar, Keys and Pharrell as different from his typical method. "We did the opposite of what composers usually do we wrote songs, and from the songs came the themes," he explained. "We embraced a rock 'n'  roll ethos on this movie, and it paid off."

Pharrell, who's been floating on the success of "Happy," his Oscar-nominated song from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, said it was an "exciting" experience, working with Zimmer. "When I was making the song," he added, "I knew Alicia and Kendrick had to be on it. They take the song to a whole new level."
