Jaden Smith Drops This Is the Album
When it’s about the music, Jaden Smith doesn’t work on anyone else’s timetable, so why not put out a new release?
Today (Feb. 5), brings a surprise from the 16-year-old rapper in the form of a free EP titled This Is the Album, his most recent music package since albums Prakruti and Cool Tape Vol. 2 dropped last November.
This project is comprised of only three tracks, “Scarface,” “4 My 1” and “Weekend in Atlantis,” and produced by Daniel D’artiste.
On the EP, Smith’s mood music is unsurprisingly melancholy, although it shows more in the growth department for the budding young rhymer. He also put out a music video for “4 My 1,” where he’s featured shirtless in much of the visual.
Despite pumping our ears with so much new content, Smith hasn't yet revealed plans for a full-length studio debut.
