Young Thug Wants to Name His Next Mixtape Tha Carter V

Thugger is serious too.

It looks like Young Thug and Lil Wayne's beef is far from over.

Thugger caused quite a stir when he released his mixtape/album Barter 6 (originally titled Carter 6) that got some aggressive responses from Lil Wayne. Now, the Rich Gang affiliate wants to up the ante by announcing that his next mixtape before Hy!£UN35 (pronounced "hi-tunes") will be called Tha Carter V.

“I’ma drop one more mixtape [before my album],” he told No Days Off Radio. “I’ll probably name it Tha Carter V, ’cause the original Carter V still ain’t came out yet. I don’t know what the f**k they doing. So I’ma put that motherf**ker out for ’em.”

During the interview, Thug also confirmed that he’s only signed to Atlantic Records and isn't managed by anyone else but himself. In the past, he’s been aligned with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, Future’s Freebandz, Lyor Cohen’s 300 Entertainment and Birdman’s Rich Gang.

“I manage myself,” he said. “I’m signed with Atlantic. I have a big, special deal with Atlantic, and it’s only Atlantic. Birdman is my homie.”

Obviously, Wayne isn’t going to be too happy with Thug’s title choice. After all, he’s still deep in a lawsuit with Birdman and Cash Money. Meanwhile, we still don’t have an update on when the actual Tha Carter V or the Free Weezy Album will drop.

Thug might be on to something.
