Usually there’s a three-year gap between Kendrick Lamar’s album releases but apparently Top Dawg Entertainment broke that rule by bringing us a new Kendrick project early.

Last night (March 3) an album called untitled unmastered surfaced online featuring tracks the Compton native has performed on numerous programs and award shows, and have been unreleased, unmastered or both. The album is available via iTunes and all major streaming services.

Friday’s album release comes after short notice as Spotify gave us the first word on it by putting up the project hours before it was supposed to be released. Earlier this week TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith hinted that a new Kendrick Lamar project could be released this year. We just didn’t know it was going to be today.
