50 Cent Goes Ham on Instagram One Last Time

Amid pressures from his bankruptcy case, Fif decides to say goodbye to social media.

While it appears that 50 Cent’s legal woes may soon be behind him, his days of voicing his opinions with no filter may also be a ghost of Internet past.

The Queens rapper’s social media habits have gotten him into some hot water, with Fif sharing photos of himself in front of wads of cash despite his bankruptcy claims, which led to a judge wanting to know if he has been honest about reporting his income. His legal team has had their work cut out for them ever since, recently claiming that his intention of using Instagram is to inspire others

Regardless of whether or not the judge will buy it, 50 Cent last night (March 10) said that he’s “done” with Instagram and from here on out, someone else will manage his account, which currently has 9 million followers.

Side note, it’s actually kind of incredible that a rapper of 50 Cent’s level of celebrity would be managing his own social media, but perhaps he enjoyed having a safe space (or so he thought) to say it like it is while starting beef with others. His social media is currently under investigation for the aforementioned photos depicting his wealth.

Of course, 50 did get some final words in before his account turned into strictly promotional purposes, posting a gratuitous rant five posts deep. During the rant, he claims, in all his typo-laden glory, that he was “accused of committing fraud with nothing but a IG photo,” and shared other thoughts on what he’s been going through in regards to the ways that he feels his stature as a wealthy Black man has been working against him since the legal system has been looking at his case.

He branded each post with #ThisImageIsCourtApproved.

We’ll miss you, Fif. Check out the rant in full below.
