A new video with a much more revealing angle of the Alton Sterling killing has been released, and it seems to directly contradict the reasons officers gave for shooting, and killing, the 37-year-old father.

One woman Tweeted out the video, and understandably so, the footage has gone viral. This is a huge update to the tragic story of yet another Black man killed by police officers.

The new footage shows the gun that Sterling was carrying was still in his pocket at the time of his death.

Before this video was released, the police involved claimed that they had shot because Sterling had made an aggressive move for the gun that he was carrying.

The comments section of the video is filled with hatred and finger-pointing from both sides but the fact remains that this is a massive development and will likely have a huge impact on public opinion, and how the officers involved are treated by the department, their community, and the law.
