Starting the year off with an arrest is less than ideal for most people, but for one Charlotte resident, a mugshot will never stop her shine.

On Jan. 3, Shia Yearwood was arrested and charged with violating a domestic protective order in Mecklenburg County, NC. When her mugshot was posted to the county's records, it was then shared by the Twitter account @CharlotteMugs, according to the Charlotte Observer.

  1. After the shady post to the Charlotte Mugshots twitter page, Shia's photo, specifically her braids, received much attention
  2. Eventually Shia revealed she did her own hair after the numerous requests
  3. And people were shook by her skillful business plug
  4. At first, Shia received logistical questions about her braiding services
  5. Shia was then praised for how she turned a minor setback into a major bounce back
