Man Arrested For Saying He’s Going To ‘Blow Up Bathroom’ As In He Just Needed To Take A S—t

Arthur Posey now faces 2 counts of communicating false information of planned arson.

When people say “we are living in two different Americas,” they are talking about the story of Arthur Posey, a New Orleans man who recently learned to be less honest about the power of his bowel movements.

Last week, Posey, 30, was at Willie’s Chicken Shack in the French Quarter of New Orleans when he allegedly threatened to blow up the restaurant.

According to the Times-Picayune, Posey walked into a Willie’s Chicken and told a female manager that he was going to “blow the bathroom up,” which many of us know refers to the Godzilla of defecations.

However, the manager claimed she and Posey got into a heated argument when he asked her how late the restaurant was open and she said she didn’t know (which seems weird considering she's a manager).

He then allegedly said, “Y’all about to close right now, because I’m going to get a bomb and blow this place up,” according to the manager.

She reported the incident to the Chicken Shack’s general manager, who advised her to call the police.

By the time police arrived, Posey had left. He was later found at a different business down the block. When asked why he said he was going to “blow the bathroom up,” he told police he was talking about taking a s—t.

Although Posey explained his intention and never produced any type of explosive, police charged him with two counts of communicating false information of planned arson. Posey will also need to appear in court on Nov. 29 for a competency hearing.
