Snoop Dogg's Son Cordell Broadus Gives Up Football for Film

Highly touted wide receiver wants to pursue movies.

Snoop Dogg's son, Cordell Broadus, was a highly touted four-star wide receiver recruit out of Las Vegas's Bishop Gorman High School, choosing UCLA over Florida State and Notre Dame this past February.

One problem, though—Broadus never reported to the Bruins' camp. ESPN is reporting that Snoop's son is quitting football to pursue film instead.

"Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life—in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions," UCLA coach Jim Mora said Friday in a statement released by the school to the media, including ESPN. "Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA."

Despite Diddy's infamous kettle bell dustup with Bruins strength coach Sal Alosi, the rap mogul seems to be at an amicable place with the team, as his Instagram shot Thursday suggested.
