Russell Westbrook Signed The Most Lucrative Deal Ever For A Jordan Brand Athlete

This is part of the MVP's 10-year extension with the company.

It's safe to say that Russell Westbrook has been having the time of his life over these past few months. In May, the Oklahoma City Thunder's All-Star point guard and his wife, Nina, welcomed their son, Noah, who is the spitting image of his daddy. A month later, Westbrook was crowned the NBA's MVP after averaging a triple-double for the 2016-17 season.

And now, ESPN is reporting that Westbrook has signed a 10-year extension with Nike's Jordan Brand. And get this — although the exact dollar value hasn't been disclosed, it's the most lucrative endorsement deal ever for a Jordan athlete.

Well deserved considering Westbrook became only the second player in NBA history to average a triple-double across a season, putting up 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game.

The extension will take the 28-year-old Westbrook through the 2025-26 NBA season.

While all of this is more than enough to put a smile on the NBA superstar's face, Westbrook is currently busy with another passion — New York Fashion Week.

Westbrook appeared on Good Morning America today to discuss his love for fashion and his fashion book, Style Drivers.

Congrats to Brodie on all his success.
