LeBron James is officially on the move.
The NBA great has decided to leave his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers for the West, agreeing to a four-year, $154 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to a statement from Klutch Sports Group.
Originally, it was rumored that James would announce his decision on Tuesday morning. His fourth year is a player option and the deal is LeBron’s longest since signing a six-year deal with the Miami Heat in 2010.
Via his Instagram Story, LeBron thanked his Northeastern Ohio fans for being there with him during his time in Cleveland. "Thank you Northeast Ohio for an incredible 4 seasons,” he wrote. “This will always be home."
Of course, Twitter exploded once news hit the wire.
