Ladies, your beauty offerings at the drug store just expanded! Pantene's new line, called the "Gold Series," caters specifically to African-American women. The eight-product line ranges from shampoo and conditioner to curl-defining pudding and co-wash for in-between full-on washes. (See the whole line here.)
Pantene even crafted a thoughtful commercial to promote the new line, which empowers women whether they choose to wear their hair relaxed or natural. The ad features women of varied ages and hairstyles of all types to plug the line, with its items affordably priced, ranging from $6 to $10. This is a good example of a mainstream brand reaching out to an underserved market and executing its objective respectfully through genuine empowerment.
The line, "developed by scientists and perfected by stylists," is available in stores now.
