Gone are the days when Kim Kardashian would sit in a glam session for hours. According to the star, her makeup routine now takes "literally five minutes." She credits her newly "minimal" regimen with the demands of being a mom. But of course, the new product she is hawking, the Creme Contour & Highlighting Kit ($48), helps her achieve that quick beat, she says.
Now the second KarJenner to lean the hell into her aesthetic for a profit (hi, Kylie), it's reported that Keeks will make an estimated $14.4 million when the kits, expected to sell out within five minutes, hit the market tomorrow. Pocket change for a woman who made $45 million off an app (#NotBadForAGirlWithNoTalent :-P) but still, that's pretty impressive. For the woman who popularized the contour craze, it's high time to finally ca$h in on the trend she started.
Last night, Kim hosted an intimate launch party for KKW Beauty at her Bel Air home. Remember the floral wall Kanye thought up for the #WorldsMostTalkedAboutCouple's nuptials? It appears Kim installed her own iteration at the West's estate last night, where she hosted close friends and a gaggle of reporters.
The new product comes in four colors: light, medium, dark, and deep dark. Kim herself uses medium, or, if she's tan, dark. Of the parallels between her line and Kylie Cosmetics, Kim says the two are very different, but she has learned from Kylie's process. "I'm really grateful that Kylie launched hers and was able to figure out what worked with her and my mom," she said. "The partnership my mom was able to just really figure out on the other business side of things [with KKW] — that probably wouldn't have been worked out the right way had I started earlier."
But she's not coming for Kylie's lip-kit throne anytime soon. That, Kim says, is "totally [Kylie's] thing." She does not rule out the possibility of a KKW Beauty lipstick in the future though.
The kits are on sale now at KKWBeauty.com. Light and medium are already sold out, but snag the others while you can!
