It is said that your aura introduces you first, but Erykah Badu's Soul Train Awards 2017 'fit is an exception to this idiom. That's because Badu, who hosted the event for the third consecutive year, wore this on the red carpet:
It's a lot of look — one that an awards show amateur couldn't dream of carrying off — but it's just perfect on the neo-soul pioneer. We're talking sky-high platform boots! A theatrical, fur-adorned coat! A big-ass hat! And a big-ass accessory on top of the big-ass hat! Sheesh! This 'fit sure ain't for the faint of heart. And it was just one of several that she rocked at last night's STAs.
The outfit was from avant garde designer Thom Browne's SS18 collection. Browne also counts Solange as a celeb client, as she wore a look by him to the most recent Met Gala.
