Social media is rightfully abuzz with the news that American actress Meghan Markle is set to marry Prince Harry this upcoming spring. While she will officially be crowned Duchess of Sussex in May 2018, she won't technically be a princess. That, however, will not stop us from calling her one!

And while Ms. Markle will be the first (partially) Black woman to marry into Britain's royal fam, she's not the firstto marry into royalty in broad terms.
