Following her shocking divorce, The Real co-host Jeannie Mai has been very opening up about her impressive body transformation. While most folks are trying to drop the pounds, Jeannie is trying to put them on. We previously reported her struggles to gain weight, but now the talk show host is offering her tips and tricks to getting thick and staying thick.
Jeannie most recently shared a "before and after" photo of her progress thus far that clearly shows her new curves. Back in 2016, when her "before" pic was taken, Jeannie weighed about 100 pounds and today she weighs a healthy 120 pounds and says she's still going!
How did she do it? By "saying YASS to carbs" and "YASS to healthy fats." She also credits weight training to her new shape. "As I'm nearing my 40s, I realize that I've been through so much sh*t mentally and emotionally, why the hell should my body be forced to suffer (from my over-controlling ways) too?" she wrote on another Instagram post.
"So 3 months ago I started a new eating plan and training program and gained 17 lbs. I don't have a weight goal...just a promise to be as physically strong as I am mentally indestructible."
She told Shape magazine in a new interview, "I got introduced to weightlifting early on in my journey and it has changed my body drastically," she says. "It only took a couple weeks before I started to feel stronger in my arms and started getting muscle cuts. My hips started rounding out and my butt became fuller."
"You just feel so victorious after lifting heavy. There's something so gratifying about testing your strength and feeling surprised by it. It makes you realize that there's no limit to what your body can do if you put your mind to it," she continued.
For her followers who want the complete deets on her nutrition, Jeannie has shared a specific seven-day eating plan in her story highlights on Instagram.
