Kelly Rowland Hosts Virtual Baby Shower To Donate Gifts To Mothers In Need
R&B superstar Kelly Rowland is preparing to throw a virtual baby shower to support the nonprofit organization, Baby2Baby.
Rowland, who announced that she and husband Tim Weatherspoon are expecting their second child through Women's Health magazine's November cover story, took to Instagram to invite her fans and followers to join the event.
Alongside an image of Kelly looking gorgeous in an orange knit outfit from Christian Wijnants, the Southern beauty cradled her baby bump, with a caption that read: "Please join in my virtual baby shower benefiting @baby2baby, a nonprofit I hold dear to my heart! As a mom and Board Member, I'm so proud of the work we're doing to provide 50 million essentials to children living in poverty across the country impacted by the pandemic this year."
Rowland urged her fans and friends to donate to Baby2Baby to help women and babies in need instead of giving presents to her little one on the way. "In lieu of gifts for the new baby, please use the link in my bio to help Baby2Baby continue giving diapers, shampoo, blankets, and so much more to kids who need our help more than ever," read her caption.
Quickly after sharing the post, many followers, including her celebrity pals, jumped into the comment section to congratulate her for the philanthropic efforts.
As fans might remember, Rowland publicly revealed her big news in the Women's Health interview pretty late in her pregnancy. The Grammy winner explained that she hesitated to discuss her new addition because the entire world has been struggling with the coronavirus pandemic while her home country is facing a "national, racial reckoning."
During the same interview, the 'Motivation' singer also said becoming a mother again in these painful days is a blessing.
Kelly and her husband Tim already have a son together, 6-year-old Titan Jewell Weatherspoon.
Cheers to Kelly for her charitable endeavors.
