Antonio Brown Reportedly Wanted For Attempted Murder In Miami
Miami-Dade County law enforcement officers have issued an arrest warrant for ex-NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown on a charge of attempted murder with a firearm, the Washington Post reports.
According to the details of the warrant, which was signed on Wednesday (June 11), Brown is required to post a $10,000 bond and to remain under house arrest pending trial.
The warrant stems from an incident that occurred on May 16, 2025, after a celebrity boxing event in Miami hosted by Adin Ross. Brown allegedly punched a man during a fight, grabbed a gun from a nearby security officer, and fired two shots at the same man. Several eyewitnesses at the scene have identified Brown as the shooter.
Zül-Qarnaįn Nantambu, who interrupted Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime Super Bowl performance with a pro-Palestine protest, has alleged that Brown attacked him. He claimed that Brown jumped him and two of his friends before the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer fired gunshots at him with children in the vicinity.
“He went, got a gun, shot wildfire, and we fought,” Nantambu told TMZ Sports. 'He shot at me twice, praise be to Allah, I wasn't hit. They got children out there selling candy, bro. He could've hit one of them kids.”
After his release from custody, Brown shared his side of the story on social media the next day.
"I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me," he wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account. "Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED. I will be talking to my legal counsel and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me."
The incident marks Brown’s latest run-in with the law. Previously, he was arrested on domestic violence allegations and has been hit with several financial lawsuits.
As of Friday, June 13, Brown has not been arrested by authorities.
