NeNe Leakes Calls Out Cynthia Bailey For Not Attending Gregg Leakes’ Funeral

She also says her cast mates went cheap on a condolence gift.

Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes lost her husband Gregg Leakes to colon cancer at 66 years old on Sept. 1. Many of her former co-stars supported NeNe, but she says Cynthia Bailey fell short.

Leakes told V-103, “[Cynthia] didn’t even come to the repast. She did come like a week later after everything was done.”

She continued, “It’s really hard to explain ‘Housewives.’ It’s almost like a dysfunctional family.”

Last week, Bailey, who recently announced she left the Real Housewives of Atlanta, said she didn’t attend the funeral because she was out of town, exclusively telling Page Six, “I’m really glad, honestly looking back, that I didn’t make it to the actual celebration [of life] because I think if I had, I never would have had the moment that I got to have with her just hanging out with her at her lounge and pretty much closing the place down.”

Leakes also accused folks in the Bravo family of going cheap on a condolence gift, saying, “Actually I was surprised because the first set of flowers I got was a bouquet from, like, all the Housewives, like they went in together. I’m like, ‘Why do y’all need to go in together and buy some damn flowers? If all y’all work … you can spend your own $200. That’s the way I’ve always been.”

Bailey hasn't responded to Leakes’ latest comments.
