Tamar Speaks Out Following Concert Altercation Between Chrisean and James Wright Chanel

“He got assaulted at my show, and it was by Chrisean,” the ‘Love and War’ singer confirmed.

Tamar Braxton is speaking out on the violent altercation between reality star Chrisean Rock and singer James Wright Chanel backstage during a recent concert.

In an Instagram post, the singer said she initially didn’t address the incident “out of respect for James” and her team. However, Braxton confirmed reports that Rock was “traumatizing” the entertainer backstage. “He got assaulted at my show, and it was by Chrisean,” the “Braxton Family Values” star declared.

In footage making its way around the internet, Rock reportedly assaulted Chanel after she was not allowed to perform at the November 10 concert. She later stormed into Braxton’s dressing room upset and ultimately struck Chanel, leaving him with a chipped tooth and bloodied nose.

“Chrisean is someone I look at like, from afar, a younger sister,” Tamar continued, confirming she had invited her fellow Maryland native to the show for a “twerk off” segment but not to perform. “She was somebody I wanted to meet, to possibly take under my wing.” Later, Braxton spoke directly to Rock, apologizing, stating that she never intended for violence to break out.

Braxton informed fans that a part of the show would still occur, adding, “Like I said before, we don’t fight.” Meanwhile, Rock has since deleted all of her social media accounts.
