Fans Swear 50 Cent Was Somehow Involved In Ja Rule's Fyre Festival Fiasco – And We Can't Stop Laughing

"I wouldn’t be surprised. 50 is that level of petty."

In case you haven’t heard, all of social media, especially Black Twitter, piled in for the roller-coaster ride that was FYRE FRAUD (Hulu) and FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened (Netflix) last week about the catastrophic yet amusing 2017 Fyre Festival. It was supposed to be and was advertised as an international Coachella of sorts, taking place over the course of two weekends in the Bahamas. The festival was promoted as a luxurious adventure for top industry influencers, models and those able to afford the insanely overpriced tickets. However, it turned into a survival of the fittest that was dragged into a scorching abyss as hundreds were left stranded without water, food — that slice of cheese on wheat bread with lettuce doesn’t count — and any transportation to get back to the U.S.

The party goers were locked inside the Bahamian airport as everyone involved on the Fyre side scrambled to right their wrongs. Those who lost the most during this debacle were the locals, who were overworked and owed roughly $250,000 in back pay, and Maryann Rolle, owner of Exuma Point Resort, along with her husband. Rolle tearfully admitted on the Netflix version that the festival’s unpaid expenses forced to pay her workers out of pocket, leaving her with an estimated $50,000 debt. Festival founder Billy McFarland is serving a six year prison sentence for scamming $27.4 million out of investors for the Fyre Festival, the Fyre Media app and his other “businesses.” Famed hip-hop artist Ja Rule was the face of Fyre as well as co-founder of the festival.

As many watched the Fyre documentaries, they ripped the Murder Inc. legend to shreds over his involvement in the elaborate scheme.

  • In Ja Rule's defense...

  • Yet, on the documentary, he even stated that Fyre wasn't "fraud; it was false advertising." Ja offered sympathy to Mrs. Rolle, but fans would've preferred his apology to come in the form of cash. Even without his contribution, though, the GoFundMe set up on their behalf has surpassed $165,000.

  • On the other hand, Fans couln't help but wonder if the Fyre festival was orchestrated by Ja's nemesis, 50 cent

  • Apparently, this theory crossed many minds...

  • Oddly enough, 50 Cent has yet to troll his ancient rival in light of the jaw-dropping revelations from the documentaries. Don't bow out now, Fif! At least not with all this new material at your disposal...
