Jordin Sparks glows alongside Tika Sumpter, Carmen Ejogo an the late Whitney Houston in the BET Premiere Cinema film Sparkle.
In the 1960s three sisters, Sparkle (played by Jordin Sparks), Sister (played by Carmen Ejogo) and Dolores (played by Tika Sumpter), follow their dream of singing by forming a girl group that soon gets local recognition. However, their mother, Emma (played by Whitney Houston), doesn't buy their intangible aspirations and does everything to dissuade them from the not-so-glamorous life of superstardom.
