T.I. Says He’s Done Trying To Reason With Candace Owens And Terry Crews

“I’m still waiting on Terry Crews to speak on behalf of [the Black community].”

During a recent appearance on Nick Cannon’s radio show, Tip “T.I.” Harris spoke out against what he sees as dangerous rhetoric against the Black community espoused by Candace Owens and Terry Crews.

  • While speaking on cancel culture, T.I. cautioned the Black community against being so quick to disavow each other as he felt it just further sows division. Instead, the Grand Hustle boss encouraged Black people to be more receptive to open dialogue about issues facing the community with each other, even if people hold differing viewpoints. However, the Grand Hustle honcho admitted there are some “severe cases” that are past the point of reproach.

“There’s some severe cases like Candace Owens. She got to go,” Tip said. Cannon brought up his heated exchange with the conservative pundit during the 2019 REVOLT Summit in Atlanta but the Atlanta mogul conveyed that he is done trying to reason with Owens.

  • “I think she [sic] a paid plant. I think someone paid her to come out here and speak against everything the majority of us are standing for,” he speculated. “You mean to tell me that there's no injustice that you [have] ever seen happen on behalf of people of color that you can speak out for? So white people are always right? You telling me law enforcement is always right? You telling me the United States of America has always been right when it comes to dealing with us? And that's her story. And you can't trust that story because we have facts that show us otherwise.”

He continued, “When this young lady was in college, something happened to her, an attack. She called out to the community, and she got justice in her case. Ever since then, she seems to have forgotten that she's Black. She has turned in her Black card and crossed over.”

  • T.I. then turned his sights on Crews, who found himself embroiled in some controversy over his “Black supremacy” tweet. He pointed to Crews and Owens as an example of the kind of people who seem to only speak up against the Black community and their “distractions” to the cause.

“I’m still waiting on Terry Crews to speak on behalf of [the Black community], “the rapper said.“He's trying to instruct the community to not be so harsh as it pertains to dealing with white supremacy. We can't have Black supremacy because we don't have the tools to oppress.”
