Cherelle Griner, Brittney Griner’s wife, has graduated from law school.

On May 7, the 28-year-old announced she received her Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law, see below:



In a previous post, days before graduating, she wrote, ​​"Best believe, I'll never doubt me again. I didn't just go to law school – I went to one of THE 6 HBCU law schools remaining! The way my ancestors are smiling."

As for Brittney Griner, the U.S. recently classified the WNBA star as being wrongfully detained in Russia.

Griner, 31, was detained on Feb. 17 by Russian Federal Customs Service at Sheremetyevo Airport near Moscow after agents said they discovered hashish oil vape cartridges in her luggage, The New York Times reported.

She’s a championship-winning player with the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury who plays for the Russian team UMMC Ekaterinburg in the off season.

An investigation by the customs service was allegedly opened into allegations of large-scale-transportation of drugs, which can carry a 10-year prison sentence.
