  • In another interview with, Michelle said that she went through a black market to get “hydrogel injections.” Hydrogel injections are tissue augmentation fillers that are not illegal, but require professional expertise, which is very expensive. Doing it inexpensively or with a proven professional, these procedures can come with a host of side effects including pain, infection, bleeding, numbness and fat necrosis.

  • “Please listen to me,” K. Michelle urged listeners, “I have no reason to lie to ya, no reason to just say anything to you. This was real life one of the worst decisions of my entire life, leave it alone.”

  • Speaking directly to his listeners, DJ Quicksilva said, “If there’s somebody right now having these self-esteem issues...she feels as though `I don’t look pretty enough’ or ‘I have to get these boobs” or “I have to get this butt...’”  He then turned to his guest and asked, “If K. Michelle could say something to make her feel beautiful or to make her feel loved, what would K. Michelle say?”

  • The Rebellious Soul singer explained that post-surgery would immediately force them to regret the decision. “The way you’re going to look, having to get it out, is worse then you look now. I would speak hard truth because nowadays girls don’t want to hear the truth, nicely.” She also explained the side effects, like lumping and pigmentation.

  • While turning her own truth into something helpful, she noted that figuring out a healthy way is the best way to improve not only your self-esteem but (your) physical appearance, or in other words, “Nothing good for you is quick — have y’all realized that?”

  • In K. Michelle’s experience, she remembered back and leg pains as well as migraines after receiving liposuction to remove the silicone. The substance had eventually spread and forced her into needing blood transfusions and four surgeries while on tour. “I would tell the women who don’t have that to spend… there’s other things. There’s other options other than some silicone.”
