Megan Thee Stallion Brings Her Hot Girl Energy to Broadway

The Houston rapper is making history as the first female performer to play a key character in ‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical.’

The hotties are taking on Broadway. Megan Thee Stallion is making her Broadway debut in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” for an eight-week engagement from March 24 through May 17.

The “Lover Girl” rapper shared the news on Instagram, captioning a clip of the legendary glowing red heart from the Moulin Rouge cabaret: “Thee hottest news on Broadway.” This wasn’t on the bingo card for 2026, but it’s definitely a flex.

Megan will be portraying Zidler, the Moulin Rouge club owner, after Bob the Drag Queen finishes his run on March 22. With this gig, she’s making history as the first female-identifying performer to ever step into the role, and a milestone that’s just as big as her music career.

“I’ve always loved pushing myself creatively, and theater feels like the next challenge,” Megan said in a press release. “Broadway demands a different kind of discipline and storytelling, but I’m ready. I can’t wait for my Hotties to see this side of me.”

The Grammy-Award winning rapper has already proven she’s a triple threat: remember when she hosted “SNL” and performed on the same night? Now, she’s taking that energy to the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, showing that her talent isn’t limited to music.

Megan has also always been about owning her image on her own terms. In a 2020 essay for The New York Times, she wrote about choosing her style and celebrating her body, not for anyone else, but because confidence is part of who she is. That message shows up in her music too, in songs like “Big Ol Freak” to “Plan B,” reminding Black women everywhere to stay bold, outspoken, and unapologetic.

As Megan prepares to light up Broadway, fans can expect the same confidence, sass, and Hot Girl energy that have made her a cultural force, and maybe a few unforgettable looks along the way.
