Peyton Manning Made the Shadiest Joke About Kevin Durant, the Final Five, and Russell Westbrook and People Lost It

The NBA ballers couldn't even crack a smile.

No chill whatsoever. That's the best way to describe Peyton Manning saying that "our gymnastics team is so dominant that Kevin Durant tells me that he wants to play for them next year" last night at the 2017 ESPYs in Los Angeles.

The joke about KD wanting to join the Final Five gymnastics team was an obvious reference to the NBA superstar leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors last summer, winning his first NBA title and Finals MVP last month.

But the shady one-liner wasn't received well by Durant, who hit Manning with the coldest ice grill you have ever seen.

And the ESPYs host and former NFL quarterback got the same unamused reaction from Russell Westbrook upon dragging him into the joke by asking, "Russell Westbrook — what do you think?"

Needless to say, Twitter absolutely lost it over their stone-cold, instant-meme-material reactions.

  • Just look at KD and Russ's disgusted reactions to peyton manning's joke

    Absolutely not here for it.

  • Their unamused reactions were like ...

    #FACTS.

  • KD's Ice Cold Reaction Instantly Became A GIF that will keep on giving

When your co-worker hits you with too much energy on a Monday morning.

  • And of course, Twitter had to hit him with the Michael Jordan crying face

    It's only right.

  • Peyton Manning's Joke Was Savage AF, though

Almost too savage ... even for Craig and Smokey.

  • That being said, Peyton was probably tip-toeing around KD at the after-party like ...

Peyton's about to be sacked out here ... even in retirement.

  • This sums up the slander that came from Peyton's joke pretty well

This is just wrong ... yet internet gold at the same damn time.
