Chaka Khan To Be Honored At Inaugural Beauty Icon Awards In Atlanta
This fall, Bronner Bros. is teaming up with Vivace and Red by KISS to spotlight the brilliance of Black beauty, honoring its trailblazers with the debut of the Beauty Icon Awards.
On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Bronner Center of Performing Arts (Riverside EpiCenter) in Atlanta will transform into the ultimate stage for the first-ever Beauty Icon Awards. It’s being described as “a live museum of beauty over the decades.”
The night will be hosted by television personality Segun Oduolowu and bring together celebrities, cultural tastemakers, and industry leaders for a celebration to remember.
At the center of it all is the legendary Chaka Khan, who will be honored with the inaugural Beauty Icon Award in recognition of a career that has inspired and empowered generations far beyond the music.
Executive Producer Kelly Keith says honoring Khan was an obvious choice for the inaugural award. “Honoring Chaka Khan with the Beauty Icon Award feels natural. Her music and presence have empowered generations,” Keith explained.
She added that it’s not just about the music, but the way Khan has carried herself over decades.
“Her fearless style redefined beauty on her own terms. She is the embodiment of a beauty icon.”
For Keith, the awards are about more than one legendary figure. “The Beauty Icon Awards is our love letter to beauty, celebrating the founders, artists, and innovators who built an industry, shaped culture, and set the standard for style and excellence.”
In addition to celebrating Khan, the awards will also salute a powerful lineup of trailblazers who’ve shaped beauty, style, and culture. Among this year’s honorees are June Ambrose, Jesseca Harris-Dupart, and Cliff Vmir, the celebrity hairstylist turned entrepreneur behind Femme Haircare.
For Ivan Chae, Senior Director at KISS USA, beauty has always carried a deeper meaning.

For Chae, the collaboration with Bronner Bros. felt like a perfect fit.
