Prince Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne, proposed with a 2.5-carat, cushion cut diamond ring. The reports the Prince designed the the beautiful diamond trilogy ring himself. The center stone is from Botswana, a country that holds special significance for him, and the two side stones are from the personal collection of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. The stones are set in white gold with the main band of the ring in yellow gold, which as previously reported, is Ms. Markle’s preference for jewelry.

The couples’ first photo op with the new bling took place earlier today in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, where they officially announced the news. The royal refused to reveal how he proposed, saying “That will come later” though admitting it was very romantic and that he knew she was the one “from the very first time we met.”
