Drama Unfolds in 'The Oval': Allegations, Ambitions, and Hidden Agendas
Remember when Keisha said that Jamal had put hands on her last week? That's where we jump back in this episode. She's in the hospital, all worked up, trying to convince the doctor that Jamal did this to her. And boom, they cuff Jamal. But wouldn't a doc be able to spot if those marks were really from choking? But hey, this is The Oval, where drama is turned up to 100. Stick with me.
You also remember that Sam shot Bobby, right? It turns out Sam used rubber bullets, so Bobby is fine. Priscilla and Bobby were done before Sam came along with the rubber bullets, but now they’re really done, with the beef between Sam and Bobby still festering.
Next, we find out that the president has a pulse, but he’s unconscious and being worked on, and that’s about all we know about his status. Victoria wants Eli sworn in as the president, but Donald isn’t with it. However, Victoria and Eli get their way. Once he’s sworn in, they have to figure out what lies to tell the public and staff about how the president got into this position in the first place. It’s established that Donald no longer trusts Victoria. He rightfully thinks she will kill Hunter as she tried to do Jason. He tells Kyle, the guard dog, to watch her and not to let her near Hunter.
Speaking of Jason. He wanders near the Rakadushi compound and gets taken hostage at gunpoint. The plan is for him to meet with the Highest. At the moment, he lies about his name and wants to leave. But he might have met his match in nuttiness.
Back at the hospital, Richard stands his ground in that he didn’t choke Nancy, and finally, the doctor confirms that it’s the truth. The doctor said that Nancy’s timeline doesn’t make sense. Plus, she’s still high on whatever herbs the Rakadushis gave her. Doc figured out that the herbs make people hallucinate and do what they want. Nancy had so much that it would take a while for her to come down, and she’s lucky to be still alive. They’ll just have to wait it out.
Back to Eli. Now that he’s sworn in, he clarifies that he can’t stand Donald and lets him and Kyle go. Donald ain’t going down without a fight, though, so he plans with Kyle to figure out how to revive the president as soon as possible. Fictional White House doctors probably can work miracles.
Finally, we wind down with the matter of the VP’s wife, Simone. Victoria has her locked in a bunker, where we find them next. Victoria visits her hostage and taunts her about how she will have her killed and make it look like a tragic accident. Victoria walks out, full of herself and sure of her plans, even describing herself as the devil, but Simone pulls out a little recorder, and you know what that means.
