Georgia’s Milton Police Department has issued a missing-person alert for Nathan Murray Smith — the 27-year-old musician who performs as DJ Young Slade and is the son of rapper Lil Jon. Authorities said Smith was last seen early Tuesday morning near Baldwin Drive and Mayfield Road and has not been located. 

Police said Smith left his home on foot at about 6 a.m. without a phone and may be disoriented, a detail that has heightened concern for his wellbeing. Milton officers and family members are urging anyone who may have seen him or who has information about his whereabouts to contact investigators immediately. 

Smith released music in recent years while building a career as a DJ and producer and is described in the alert as roughly 5'9" with brown eyes and short black hair. Officials and family have asked for privacy while the search continues. 

A representative for Lil Jon has asked for prayers as the family works with police on the search, and local news outlets report Milton police posted the missing person notice on their social channels to spread word quickly through the community. Investigators say he may need medical assistance.
